Susan, a Connecticut native, holds a magna cum laude degree in sociology and psychology from Connecticut College and UConn. After retiring early from a business career, she reignited her passion for art in Vermont—studying at the Vermont Studio Center, taking plein air painting classes in Italy, and even attending a workshop with her favorite painter, Wolf Kahn. Working in oils, acrylics, and collage, she has earned awards across all three media and was a founding member of Caspian Arts and a board member of Catamount Arts. Now based in Maine, Susan is inspired by the local landscape, using expressive color in her oil and acrylic paintings, and continues to explore collage. She is a board member of the Kittery Art Association and a member of the New Hampshire Art Association, Seacoast Art Association, and Exeter Fine Crafts.
