Sarah Picard

Sarah Picard is a New Hampshire-based artist whose work responds to personal memory, emotional experience, and the ongoing exploration of identity. She uses her work to process moments that feel too layered or nuanced for language alone. Her process is rooted in experimentation and intuitive gesture, often involving the layering, removal, and reapplication of materials. She works in various media, including oil, acrylic, pastel, charcoal, and fiber. Each piece reflects physical engagement with the canvas and a desire to prioritize imperfection. Sarah’s work has been exhibited in juried group shows throughout New England, including at the Fitchburg Art Museum, the Robert Lincoln Levy Gallery with the New Hampshire Art Association (NHAA), the Arts League of Lowell, and Mosaic Art Collective. Her paintings are held in private collections across the United States and were recently featured in The Substack Post. She is a juried member of the New Hampshire Art Association.
