Ree Katrak

Ree Katrak is a New Hampshire artist who works in mixed media including acrylic paint, collage, ink and graphite. Ree began her art study as a teen, working with Boston artist Ellen Sinclair Junger. She continued her study at the École des Beaux-Arts in Lausanne Switzerland where she focused on print making and painting. Ree’s art education continued with non-degree programs at the Art Institute of Boston and the Rhode Island School of Design where she studied graphic design. After a career in visual communications Ree has devoted herself to her art practice. Her work comes under the heading of Abstract Expressionism with influences from the New York School of artists such as Helen Frankenthaler, Robert Motherwell and others. She has shown work in Washington, Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. She continues to explore the medium and is currently at work on large scale paintings, excited to see where this might lead
