Marianne Stillwagon
Marianne has been a working artist since 1982 - starting as a freelance graphic designer and then morphing into painting. Marianne transformed her art from Americana to New England and LowCountry paintings to abstract art. She believes an artist must continually change and experiment by reinventing themself as they progress in art.
Marianne has a studio in Hillsborough Center, NH and another studio in Hardeeville, SC. She uses a variety of acrylic paints and believes that the colors and subject matter must be bold and create movement as well as an emotional response in the viewer.
Marianne is a member of NHAA, Monadnock Area Artists, Society of Bluffton Artists in Bluffton, SC, the Art League of Hilton Head and NAWA national association based in NYC.
Marianne has been the Featured Artist twice at SOBA, featured artist at NHAA in Portsmouth, NH and exhibiting artist for several years at Naturally New England in Sunapee Harbor, NH. Her work is in many private homes and galleries in the US and abroad.
