Kevin Kintner, (BFA Buffalo State College; MFA UMass, Amherst) has decades of art making experience. For many years Kevin created large free-form collages from paper, wood, loose canvas bits and personal drawings into which he then painted figures and other forms. For the last decade, he has ripped and cut up a lot of those works as well as more recent pieces and pasted parts of them onto stretched canvases and continued to paint in, over and around the material. The resulting paintings from this mix of elements form a rich depth of space, color, texture and action that commands the attention of viewers.
