Denise Manseau

Denise Manseau is a visual artist whose work is influenced by the beauty of her surroundings. Her paintings, prints and cut paper structures use line, color and form to construct environments that are invented yet familiar. Manseau makes use of digital technologies alongside traditional studio practices to expand her art making toolbox. She prefers to work with a wide range of methods and materials to encourage explorations that generate new ways to express an idea.

Denise Manseau lives and works in Rye, New Hampshire. She is a member of the New Hampshire Art Association, The Boston Printmakers and the artist collective, Pell Lucy. Manseau received her BFA from UMass Lowell and her MFA from Massachusetts College of Art. She was awarded a residency at Vermont Studio Center, the Open Studio Residency at Haystack Mountain School of Craft in Maine and a residency in Monasterace, Italy. Recent exhibitions include 3S Artspace in Portsmouth, New Hampshire; Five Points Arts in Connecticut; Westbeth Gallery in New York; and The Gallery at Atlantic Wharf in Boston.
