Andreea is a Portsmouth, NH-based artist of Romanian origin, whose paintings stand out for their unique fusion of lifelike birds with swirling acrylic pour backgrounds, capturing the hidden emotional language of flight and feather. Her works are visual explorations of the spiritual relationship between us and the infinite freedom of nature. Some of her paintings focus on rare or endangered species, tapping into an ever-present contemporary subject--an invitation to eco-awareness. Beyond the realm of birds, Andreea finds inspiration in local landscapes as well as portraits of pets and wildlife. With a BFA from UNARTE in Bucharest and a BSc in Pharmacy at the Carol Davila University in Bucharest, Andreea considers herself a multidisciplinary character. After 18 years of balancing her work as a pharmacist with her artistic pursuits, she fully dedicate herself to painting in 2022. Andreea has exhibited her works in Romania, as well as locally along the New England Seacoast. In the past, she has also illustrated and designed children’s books and poetry books, yet her main focus always remained the canvas. Andreea is also a member of the Kittery Art Association and Newburyport Art Association.
