As we commemorate the 46th year of hosting our esteemed juried photography exhibition, we invite New England artists working in photographic mediums to submit 1-3 pieces, continuing our tradition of celebrating this important art form and preserving our organization's rich history.

NHAA Members: $20 for one submission/$25 for two submissions/ $30 for three submissions
Non-Members: $40 for one submission/$45 for two submissions/$50 for three submissions
All submission fees are waived for Artists Under 30, courtesy of an anonymous donor. If you are not under 30 and the submission fee poses a financial barrier we have scholarships available please contact us.
Guidelines:
1-3 pieces of work per artist
2D work – maximum framed dimension 48” in the longest direction INCLUDING FRAME.
3D work - submissions must be primarily photo based, i.e. sculpture, wall hangings, books, etc. All work must be created with the last 3 years and not previously shown at the Levy Gallery.
All artists exhibiting online or at any NHAA in person venues must adhere to our PRESENTATION AND FRAMING GUIDELINES and NHAA EXHIBIT AGREEMENT
If you have not already registered with ArtCall, you will be asked to register. All artists can use this system to enter submissions and print out their labels. To participate you must submit images of your work.
You can upload 2 images for each piece, but only 1 is required. The images will be used to represent your art on the website for online sales. Please use sharp, high-quality images with a neutral background.
Remember that the deadline for submission is July 8, 11:59 p.m. The online system will automatically close at this time. It is recommended that you DO NOT wait until the last day to submit your work. Artwork not entered into ArtCall will not be accepted. Contact us if you need help using ArtCall.
FOR ALL ARTISTS UNDER 18 YOU MUST HAVE A PARENT OR GUARDIAN REVIEW THE NHAA EXHIBIT AGREEMENT AND HELP YOU WITH YOUR ONLINE SUBMISSION.

Gary Samson
Gary Samson is the 7th Artist Laureate of New Hampshire and Professor Emeritus of Photography, Institute of Art and Design, at New England College. He has spent the last fifty years photographing culture here and abroad with assignments in Ghana, Guatemala, Greece, Russia, Peru, Ireland, Belize, France, Quebec, Cape Breton, Washington DC, Florida, Texas and Louisiana.
Gary’s work has been exhibited internationally and his photographs are in numerous collections including the Currier Museum of Art, the University of New Hampshire, and the Library of Congress. After making a film about the life of German photographer Lotte Jacobi and cataloging her archive for the University of New Hampshire, he was inspired to explore portrait photography in his own work making environmental portraits of NH artists and writers as well as documenting the cultural diversity of the state. Gary has received numerous awards for his work and his photography has been published nationally and internationally in books and magazines.
Gary currently serves on the boards of the New Hampshire Art Association and the New Hampshire Center for Photography.

Lotte Jacobi Award: $500 for a photographic work that epitomizes the art of portraiture
Honorable mentions will also be selected. Winning artists will also be invited to become juried members of NHAA.

Pickup Work: Sunday, August 31, 4-6 pm and Monday, September 1, 9 am-6 pm
