Norm and Aaron Ramsey, an uncle-nephew team, are once again holding a joint exhibit of their photography at the New Hampshire Art Association’s Robert Lincoln Levy Gallery during the month of August.
Both Aaron and Norm share the view that photography, as a means of artistic expression, transcends the objective reality represented by the subject matter in their photographs. The result is a moment frozen in time attempting to convey the visualization of an emotional, if not cognitive experience, triggered by the subject matter itself. The challenge, as photographic artists, is translating that moment into a meaningful visual experience for the viewer.
