Twenty-five New Hampshire Art Association juried artists including painters, photographers and printmakers will be displaying and selling their work during the 86th annual League of New Hampshire Craftsmen’s Fair. One of the most prestigious craft events in the US, exhibits fine contemporary & traditional handcrafts made by juried members of the League of NH Craftsmen.
NHAA artists include Barbara Stevens Adams, Phil Bean, Eileen Belanger, Diane Bragdon, Debbie Campbell, Elizabeth Craumer, Becky Darling, Sherie Dowsett, Elaine Farmer, Mark Giuliucci, Robert Goldenberg, Duane Hammond, Maryclare Heffernan, Loretta CR Hubley, Laura Cassinari King, Luci Lesmerises, Judith McKenna, Diane Orzel, Susan Peterson, Marilene Sawaf, Jef Steingrebe, Marianne Stillwagon, Liane Whittum, Debra Woodward and David Zerba.
NHAA will be offering two events during this year’s fair.
The first is a Plein Air Paint Out and Wet Paint Sale on Wednesday, Aug. 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to watch the artists’ paintings come to life, ask them about their techniques and see the completed work on display in the NHAA tent. Participating artists include Bean, Belanger, Campbell and Heffernan.
The second event will be given by N.H. etcher Loretta CR Hubley, who will demonstrate the printing of etchings in the NHAA tent on Friday, Aug. 9, from 1 to 5 p.m. The etching process will be discussed in relation to the intaglio techniques of Rembrandt compared to contemporary methods using color.
