Cheers!

Raise a glass, this exhibition is all about the cup.
NHAA invites artists and craftspeople to submit functional cups, mugs, and drinking vessels to Cheers! Work may be created in ceramic, glass, metal, wood, or other food safe medium, and we welcome conceptual interpretations that stretch or reimagine what a “cup” can be.

  • Sunday, July 12th, 11:59 pm

  • Fee:

    NHAA Members:

$20 for up to 6 cups

    Non-Members:

$30 for up to 6 cups

    Guidelines:

Open to all artists living in New England (NHAA members and non-members)

    • Up to 6 cups per artist

    • Work must be functional and food safe

    • All cups must be for sale. To encourage sales during peak tourist season in Portsmouth, we will allow buyers to take the cups home upon purchase. We may reach out and ask for replacement pieces if you have them available.

    • Cup prices may not exceed $175, and should be priced individually, not as a set

    • All artists exhibiting with NHAA must adhere to our PRESENTATION AND FRAMING GUIDELINES and NHAA EXHIBIT AGREEMENT

    • Artwork created within the last 3 years and cannot have been shown at the Levy Gallery.

    • If you have not already registered with ArtCall, you will be asked to register. (See video below for how to submit work) All artists can use this system to enter submissions and print out their labels. To participate you must submit images of your work. You can upload 2 images for each piece, but only 1 is required. The images will be used to represent your art on the website for online sales. Please use sharp, high-quality images with a neutral background. Remember that the deadline for submission is July 12, 11:59 p.m. The online system will automatically close at this time. It is recommended that you DO NOT wait until the last day to submit your work. Artwork not entered into ArtCall will not be accepted. Contact us if you need help using ArtCall.

  • NHAA Curatorial Team

The New Hampshire Art Association (NHAA) Curatorial Team is composed of a rotating roster of artist members, NHAA staff, board members, and advisors. Team members bring a wide range of professional experience, including backgrounds as university professors, curators, exhibiting artists, and fine art specialists across diverse mediums. Together, the team works to shape thoughtful, high-quality exhibitions that reflect the breadth and strength of contemporary art in New Hampshire and beyond. The collaborative structure of the team allows for a dynamic curatorial perspective that evolves with each exhibition and program.
