ABOUT NHAA
The New Hampshire Art Association is one of the oldest statewide art associations in the country. It consists of over 250 members in the Fine Arts: painters, photographers, print-makers, sculptors and more.  Members live in NH, Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts and other states as well.

*All artists must apply for jurying during the specific dates each year*

Senior (70 years +) $100

APPLICATION PROCESS:
To apply for membership, prospective artists are required to submit four original works of art in the same medium and similar subject matter.  Two dimensional work must be appropriately framed. Please review application for framing guidelines and more information. (We are currently creating a new prospectus)


Criteria for Acceptance by the Membership Jury:

Maturity of artistic concept: Jury looks for originality and a mature and overall distinctive style.

  • Mastery of the medium: Jury looks for technical skill in controlling and utilizing the medium.
  • Composition: Jury looks for competence in design, balance, color, values, focal point, etc.
  • Consistency of artistic concept: The works submitted should indicate a consistency of quality, style and expression. Artists are strongly advised to submit work that would be viewed as a series or small body of work.
  • Presentation: Jury looks for high professional standards of presentation. Professional quality matting and framing and overall presentation of the work is important to the NHAA.
