The National Forest Foundation and the Arts Alliance of Northern New Hampshire invite plein-air painters and other artists to join us on the grounds of the Omni Mt. Washington Resort in Bretton Woods for “The White Mountain Arts Experience,” a celebration of nature, art and heritage, on Sunday, September 13.
From 2 to 6 p.m., plein-air painters are encouraged to set up and paint, becoming part of an informal Art Trail, which hotel guests, community members and arts lovers will be encouraged to walk. We hope painters will be willing to talk with visitors about their work and the inspiration the natural world provides them.
At 6 p.m. the resort will host a cocktail reception and silent auction to benefit the White Mountain National Forest. Tickets to the reception are $50 per person.
Work that is created during the day may be sold by the painter or donated to the silent auction; a split is also possible.
Artists who do not generally work outdoors but whose work is also inspired by nature are invited to contact the Arts Alliance about possible participation in the Art Trail, displaying work, demonstrating technique and/or speaking with the public.
Because of the strong response to our previous post about painting on the grounds of the Omni Mt. Washington Resort as part of the September 13 White Mountain Arts Experience, the organizers ask that anyone who might be interested in participating contact them in advance to discuss details including time and location specifics as well as what might be made available for sale. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Frumie Selchen at 603-323-7302. You can read more about the full event at https://www.nationalforests.org/get-involv…/…/mountainarts//
