Making the Invisible Visible: Revealing the Essence of Learning In, Through and With the Arts

Monday, July 14, 2008 10am to 5pm
Hilton Hartford, 315 Trumbull St. Hartford, CT
Registration fee of $50 includes refreshments and lunch

In this conference, teaching artists and their school and community arts partners from across New England will come together to focus on how to capture, document, assess, promote and advocate for the work of artist-educators – making visible their crucial contributions and illuminating the beauty and vitality of their work in a diversity of settings, disciplines, cultures and curriculum areas. Workshops taught by accomplished artist-educators explore the conference theme through artistic experiences and creative teaching methods. Keynote Speaker Kathleen Gaffney, a longtime national leader in the teaching-artist field, will outline the latest strategies in advocacy.
